Music at Resurrection
Music is one of the most important ministries at Resurrection.  It is through music we worship our heavenly Father and in doing this, we bring ourselves to the holy mysteries of our faith that unites us all.  We worship God through our singing of hymns, found in The Hymnal 1982 and the use of contemporary hymns that include the use of Taize Chants.

Resurrection Choir
The adult choir at Resurrection sings for the principal Sunday morning service at 10:30 AM.  The choir also takes part in all principal feast days, such as Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Holy Week and Easter Services.  During the summer months beginning the Sunday after the Day of Pentecost, the music program of the church assumes a relaxed mode in that local musical groups and ensembles located in the Kansas City area are invited to join in our service and share their musical talents.  The choir continues its role in leading the sung portions of the service, but in place of an offertory anthem, members of the choir join together in singing duets, trios.  Rehearsal is held on Wednesday evening beginning at 7:00 PM to 8:30PM and again on Sunday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:00AM.  The choir does not rehearse on Wednesday evenings during the summer months.  The personnel of the choir are volunteers who are talented, dedicated and enthusiastic people who give of their time on a consistent basis.  If you are interested in joining our choir family, contact Vaughn Scarcliff.
